Pakistani Expat Awarded For Foiling Robbery In UAE

A Pakistani national living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was awarded an ‘act of bravery’ award for foiling robbery.

The Pakistani expat, identified as Mazzaffar Hussain Nathar, helped the law enforcement agencies arrest a wanted criminal. He chased down the criminal until police came and arrested him.

Deputy General Commander of Sharjah Police Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak bin Amir acknowledged Muzzaffar’s efforts saying that the Pakistani national was a role model for others.

Hussain thanked the dignitaries and said the award was to motivate others to cooperate with and help the police fight crime.

Colonel Ebrahim Al Ajel, Director of Criminal and Investigation Department at Sharjah Police and Colonel Yousif Bin Harmoul, deputy director of police stations also attended the award ceremony.

Earlier this month, Pakistan’s Naeem Rashid set example of courage and sacrifice by jumping onto the attacker to stop him from killing people during the New Zealand mosque attack which left 50 dead.

Unfortunately, Naeem was caught by a couple of shots in the way and succumbed to his wounds.

But his tale of courage and selflessness is being celebrated worldwide. Prime Minister Imran Khan has also announced a national award for the fallen hero.
