IHC Rejects Bail Pleas of Zardari and Faryal in Money-Laundering Case

The Islamabad High Court on Monday rejected the bail plea of former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur, allowing the NAB to arrest them in the money-laundering case.

The bail request of the two had been extended five times but a two-member bench rejected the plea to grant permanent the bail, as NAB opposed the request, saying that a total of 28 cases were under investigation.

Both Zardari and Talpur were not present in the courtroom when the verdict was announced. It is expected that NAB will take to them custody soon.

It is a developing story and will be updated soon.
