All 4 Terrorists Who Attacked Pakistan Stock Exchange Killed: Rangers
Four terrorists who attacked Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) with gun and grenade on Monday morning have been killed, while five security personnel embraced martyrdom in the incident, Rangers have said.
According to an official police statement, one sub-inspector and four security guards were martyred in the incident, while another three personnel were injured. According to a news report, a civilian was also martyred in the attack. It added that a total of seven bodies were brought to Civil Hospital.
The police report further stated that the terrorists had entered the PSX compound from the parking area and were immediately overpowered. Security personnel carried out a search operation to clear the vicinity of any terrorist elements. Following the incident, police chief directed the personnel to strengthen security at other trade centres and sensitive installations in the city.

Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the terror attack, saying the entire nation is proud of the security personnel who put up a strong defence and foiled the attack with courage. He added that he condoles with the bereaved families on their loss and prayers for an early recovery of those injured.
Meanwhile, a Rangers spokesperson said the attack resembled the previous such incidents funded by Indian spy agency RAW.
Federal Interior Minister brig (r) Ijaz Shah told media that the security personnel put up a strong defence against the terrorists. “We will reach the mastermind behind the attack and take all those responsible to task,” he added.
PSX Managing Director Farrukh Khan told Geo News none of the terrorists were able to enter the main compound, saying they were countered by the personnel at the entrance. He added that the attackers were equipped with advanced, automatic rifles and other weapons. The MD also said that there weren’t many employees at the compound as most have been working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, news reports suggest that the trade activities at the PSX have continued as usual.
Condemnations
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack and termed it an attempt to harm national security and economy. He lauded the speedy action by police and Rangers and direction the LEAs to be more vigilant in the current scenario.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail denounced the attack, saying the province will be protected at all costs.
